My name is Tom. I started Zero to Finals in 2016 to build the resource I wish I had during medical school. As you may imagine for someone that creates educational resources, I love learning and teaching. So much so I completed a psychology degree and a degree in medical education to find ways I could get better at both. After graduating, I felt the need to keep learning, for my own knowledge and to have the tools to teach others. I kept studying and taking exams, achieving the MRCP (UK) Diploma from the Royal College of Physicians and the Diploma in Child Health (DCH) from the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. I am currently working towards completing my GP training.I always dreamed of creating a resource that focuses on helping medical students achieve more in medical school and eases the burden of facing complicated and overwhelming textbooks, lectures and journals. I took a year out of training after the UK foundation program with the objective of making this dream a reality. I have been working on it non-stop ever since. The Zero to Finals Paediatrics book is the second in a series aimed at providing key learning material. The books are designed to be studied from cover to cover in preparation for your exams. I have removed the waffle and focused on the key information that is tested in exams. I do my best to cover all the big topics as well as the smaller details that will help you avoid knowledge gaps. The focus is on learning the concepts, vocabulary and latest guidelines so you can take the fastest route to exam success and proficiency as a new doctor. I have added TOM TIPs, which are pearls of wisdom I have gained over more than a decade of sitting medical exams.
